The Teams from our USAV FL event (June 25th -26th) will compete in the US Jr. Olympic Beach Championships, scheduled for July 23-24 in Hermosa Beach, Calif., in conjunction with the AVP Hermosa Beach Open. Airfare and entry to this event will be funded from USAVFL. Winners from our June event at Ft. Myers Beach can join the others picked from all over the USA at the National High Performance (HP) Camp. This camp will take place July 25-28th at Hermosa Beach, CA. AVP and USAV beach players/coaches will be working together with you at the camp, including players who participated in the Athens Olympics. There will be a seaprate charge for this event.
The biggest reason for participating in a USAV Open HP Beach Volleyball tryout is to win a spot on our closed USA High Performance Camp roster. Many athletes attend a tryout because they want the experience of competing with the best athletes in the country in their age group, and to see how they measure up. Athletes get a USA Volleyball numbered tank top as part of their participation, so we can keep track of the talent pool consistently.For more info , contact Dave Carstenson at dcars@verizon.net.
